8th Grade Teams vs Alaska Stars Wed. 11/25

The Alaska Stars 8th Grade team will be participating in the Thanksgiving Tournament. They have decided to arrive a couple of days early to play some extra games. They are looking for practice games with other 8th grade teams Wednesday Evening November 25th. We will hold the games at Salvation Army CC (9020 16th ave SW Seattle). Each team will pay costs for 1 referee The Starts will pay for 1 ref also. Each team will also need to provide 1 scorer/timer for their games.

Team Washington's organization believes in the pursuit of excellence and the development of it's participant's life skills as well as their athletic abilities. Game situations are a training ground designed to teach proper basketball techniques and discipline while enhancing individual skills within a team. In turn, this enables each player to grow to their utmost potential as basketball players and young adults.

Team Washington is a serious competitive team looking for "BIGS" who are SERIOUS and EXPERIENCED ball players.

If interested you'll be invited to a TEAM try out. If our coaches feel that your child will be a good fit for our team we will invite your child to an INDIVIDUAL try out and go from there.

AAU Friends of 2010

As I open the doors to the West Seattle High School gym I hear the squeaks of sneaker whistling dicksee under the feet of hard playing kids on their respective teams. The chatter of parents, player and fans talking the political talk of 2010 AAU Basketball year. One parent would look into the eyes of a kid dismayed at their size and say are you kidding me that kid was 2 foot 3 and now he's 6 foot 5 ,another parent would say what grade is he in ? Look at his feet and ten sets of eyes look to the floor at size 19 shoes and a mother would say what dose he eat? The Referee runs by and says hes only in the 3^rd grade and some one else would say he has a older bother and that boy can play thinking to myself what a wonderful day what a wonderful game. ECBA swinging the ball at a Seattle Speed Rhythm, Friends of the Hoop shaking hands with Seattles Elite, wondering if the motor of Rotary is tuned and ready to run , is RSB going to be a V.I.P sitting high on a Mt. Rainer Vista, has Team Washington become a Northwest Panther, is Washington still a Warrior with the heart of a Spartan, we all want to see the kids be Kings of the Court and make it on a Pro Sports team and stand as tall as a Stanwood tree, better yet being Hyped up watching as our Boys grow in 2 Men its the year of 2010 my AAU friends.

Seattle Elite 8th grade tryouts!

Seattle Elite, an 8th grade boys elite team, is holding Winter season tryouts at our Bellevue gym location at Eastside Christian school, 14615 S.E. 22nd st in Bellevue, 98007 on:

                      Monday November 9th at 7:30 to 9pm

                      Friday November 13th at 6 to 7:30pm

                      Monday November 16th 7:30 to 9pm

Seattle Elite competes in local and national AAU tournaments and we compete in the Seattle AAU league. Seattle Elite won many WYS tournaments and were last years 2008-2009 point series champions for 7th grade. We finished tied for 5th in the national Las Vegas Main Event tournament and we finished 2nd at the Best in the West tournament last spring.

I hear thru the grapevine Coach Carl wants some more big men who might be play in football or soccer. The window is still open to be part of this Elite Select Team. Remember young men all to gain and nothing lose. I am impressed where the Vista program is headed!!!
